/ Finnish wilderness huts
We're using the ones between Kilpisjarvi and Reisedalen.
Anybody know the likely situation re fuel, stoves etc in these huts ?
Any advice welcome. cheers Geoff
good question. I'm interested too. what
routes / activities are you doing?
we're ski touring in a west-east direction from the DNT hut Rostahytta via Kilpi. and finishing in Reisedalen.
Done first part of route before, great scenery.
DNT huts are brill but not sure about the Finnish ones - don't fancy turning up and finding no fuel etc.
The few I've looked in have had firewood and a stove and rough beds, but I've not been in the huts around Kilpisjärvi, in fact I didn't realise there were any there. It's possible some might just be open shelters 'kota' but maybe one of the Finns here will correct me.
thanks for that link to Henrick - but am i being thick cos I can't see an e-mail or contact details for him ?
He's hidden it rather well...
