I only started road biking last year so bear with me about stupid questions here...

I cycled up and down Gibraltar Rock today... a nice experience.... dodging apes etc.

Well Got back home and checked my bike over. I noticed on the rear tyre dots approx 3inch apart all the way round (not dents/holes, just Dots...).
Is this just a wear indicator?

Cheers

In reply to RCJ: I tend to change mine when I start getting loads of punctures. I normally get a couple of seasons out of a tyre.

In reply to RCJ:

Change tyres when you start getting loads of punctures (though remember this can also be because of your tubes or the places you are riding) or when you get a cut that the inner tube is visible through when pumped up.
