Hi all- my mum got me some 'Odlo' thermals last Summer for my Mont Blanc climb. I can't remember what rating/style they were as I binned the box (I'll learn one day). They're like a black, elastic and relatively thin material but pretty warm. With some soft-shell trousers on they can keep me warm in the Scottish winter. Just wondered if anyone has also used these? What are the advantages over the Merino wool and fleecy-style long johns? Would they be warm enough for my trip to Baruntse?

Thanks in advance for any help...
