Can anyone tell me what kind of condition Hell's Lum is in? Is it banked out yet or does it still have significant ice pitches? And how is the cornice?

Thanks.

You need to watch sunny days at this time of year BTW as it can be 8 degrees warmer at the cliff base than corrie an lochain!

Very little of worth in nick right now. Kiwi Gully area has a few doable routes and Deepcut Chimney has a great ribbon of neve up it but that's about it.

How about Hell's Lum (III) itself?

Looked to be in great nick and well banked out (grade II).

If you email me I'll send you a photo of the crag from 5pm last night...

Thanks, did you happen to see if there was a break in the cornice? Or an educated guess as to whether others have been up it?

I saw guys top it out on Saturday. No cornice to speak of at the right side.

You like your beta don't you!

Was on top of Hells Lum on Tuesday. Steps all the way from the bottom up the right side of the cornice and over the top.
