I've done a lot of this sort of thing in the past, routes on the Mirroir d'Argentine, Ailefroide, Handegg etc. However, I have a hankering to go back and do some more and not necessarily slabs! ;)

Please let me have your favourites and some ideas. Thanks.

Any particularly good areas to get used to it?

I'd been thinking more Swiss/French but hey. Comfort zone and all that...

In reply to Skyfall: I haven't visited yet but what about the Dent D'Orlu in the Pyranees, sorry it looks like slabs again. I have Salbit and the val De Mello on mt list of Alpine rock in need of a lotto win as well.

I agree with the Salbit suggestion - really excellent.

What do you regard as "easy/mid grade"?

The Dolomites is probably the prime choice for easy-but-steepish; vertical IVs & Vs tend to be rartiy elsewhere
