does anyone have a rough idea how much they cost?

In reply to Lizzie:

I think there are rather too many variables here to help. I'm not a purchasing professional but would expect a 10-20% discount for bulk buy off the Net cost. Presumably you are putting together a business case cost approximation to compare with the return on that investment for a climbing wall? If so I'd suggest that you put in a budget for this as its a trivial cost relative to that of putting up the wall in the first place. You can maximise the number of shoes you get for that budget when the time comes to buy them.
If on the other hand the shoes are the main element of the business then you'd be best off ringing the salesmen at the shoe distributors for some quotes. However Quotes will only be respected for 30 days and lots can happen to costs over timescales of a month or two ....

In reply to Lizzie: quite a few shoe companies will deal direct with a climbing wall, especially as you will need rope, harness, belay devices, helmets etc. try contacting distributors to see what they will do

try direct to Lyon equipment, DMM as a starter for 10

In reply to Lizzie:

it's not a business, or a public wall. but we just need 30ish pairs of bots in varying sizes for regular use.

how many feet do you have !!!!!

In reply to Lizzie: At 30 pairs you might be able to buy at trade price direct from the distributor or importer. They may well turn you down, but you won't lose anything by phoning some of them up and talking to a sales person. Trade price (ex VAT) is generally around 55% of the full RRP.

The ones I know about:

Beyond Hope import Evolv - http://beyondhope.co.uk/contact-us/

Lyon Equipment import Sportiva - http://lyon.co.uk/outdoor/contact-lyon-outdoor

DMM (own range Gym Shoes http://dmmclimbing.com/products/gym-shoes/ ) - http://dmmclimbing.com/about/contact-us/

In a similar situation we bought these for a kids wall

sizes fit a size down from normal shoe size ie buy one size bigger than you normal shoe,

also decathlon have cheap shoes. http://www.decathlon.co.uk/F-50625-climbing-shoes

but you will probably get a deal from a manufacturer for 30 as previously posted.

In reply to Lizzie: You might get a deal but 30 pairs may not be enough for wholesale. I'd try one or two retailers (high street and online). You should get at least 15% off and I'd try for 20-25%.

A cheap pair is about 50, so you could budget 40-50. I'd be pretty confident you'd get 30 pairs for 1200-1500.

You could get much less if a wholesaler was interested.
