Is espolon central on puig campana climbable without trad gear? I'm.in Costa Blanca now and had planned 2 climb it this week, thinking I'd read somewhere that it was fully bolted, but on closer inspection of the guide it says you need a rack :( I'm a fairly competent climber so can live with run outs if it is sparsely bolted.

Any info would be of help, i'd be slightly gutted to go without doing it.

I did it a few years ago, and only the belays were bolted. The climbing is simple and the rock fairly solid though, so it depends how run out is comfortable! Maybe you can hook up with someone maybe at the Orange House with a trad rack?

In reply to Dazzle: Most of the belays are bolted, or have good threads, etc. And i'm sure you'll find a few bolts on the pitches, but not many. I seem to remember taking quite a bit of gear but using very little of it, mostly slings
