Looking at a few road trips this summer as I have 4 months off from Uni and nothing else to do. Is the rock in Northumberland dependent on weather or is it good all year round? Does it sweat like grit? Ps. has anyone every climbed on Guernsey and is it worth the trip?
In reply to CosmicHobo:
you get better friction in the cold. the nature of the rock means that it is more friable and easily damaged when damp, plus you get seepage, so I tend to stay away after a few days heavy rain, even if teh sun is shining.
ps - 4 months off! no wonder standards are slipping!
