How much snow is there still around Lochaber.... I'm coming up for two weeks work and was wondering if any of you have been around mamores / steal / glencoe etc and know what the snowline is like... Thanks in advance - it'll save me an extra day going round with binoculars....

Not been up recently myself, but if you go down to the webcams on the link below, and in particular the Glencoe and Aonach Mor ones, then that should give a reasonable indication if no-one else comes back with anything more concrete

Not much snow on the south side of the Mamores now, but I suspect plenty still on the northerly aspects... I've been looking out of the windows of the Ice Factor all day wishing I was up there in the warm sun - first day of the year that has really been both warm and dry here!

I won't tell you how sunny Creag Death was today then...

Meet that crag in form with the right attitude and you'll tear it up and use phrases like 'piece of piss'. Of course the opposite is also true.

I've never found it a piece of piss, but I agree that it rewards a confident approach. Need to get strong and light enough to try leading Inbred.
