Going for a few days hol in the Lakes with the fam at the end of the month.

Will be looking for a crafty soloing/bouldering with no mat venue for a few hours at some point

Idealling easy walk in (with 4y old) and decent picnicing opportunities

I have the Lakes selective guidebook so ideally in there too or maybe with online topos somewhere

Oh, and not too high!

That place in Langdale - Black Crag, is it called? With the pockety rock and that route with a picture of Dave Birkett on in the guide.

Black Crag or Long Scar would be perfect.

Fairly sure both are quick drying too which realistically is what you really need!

Hutton Roof ain't a bad little spot, although probably not in the selective guide.

In reply to Owen W-G: Badger rock and the woods behind are good for quick boulder with good access. Nice for family too, if you are there at dusk and go up into the woods behind then you stand a good chance of seeing a badger - just sit downwind of a set and wait and see...
