A friend's kids had a climbing taster session whilst on hols in Ambleside - and now want to do more ;-)

They're based Guiseborough/Middlesborough way - not somewhere I know. Any suggestions for a wall, particularly one that's kiddy friendly (7 & 10), and they'd probably want some lessons - parents have climbed the odd time in the past, but aren't regular climbers.

Or possibly outdoor kids lessons in the same kind of area, I guess.

In reply to Carolyn: Try Rock Antics in Middlesborough or furher afield Newton Aycliffe, or Durham Climbing Centre.

In reply to Carolyn: Agree with above comments.

For bouldering Durham Climbing Center is great and they do a lot of kids stuff.

Rock Antics in Newton Aycliffe would be your best bet for ropes, or the Middlesbrough Rock Antics again for bouldering

Cheers, Rock Antics looks like it runs a kids club that'd probably do the trick. Anyone got any experience of it?

In reply to Carolyn: Not of the club but the wall is pleasant enough

In reply to Carolyn: Climbnortheast in Ferryhill is great for bouldering, plenty of kids classes with a top rope section mainly aimed at people new to rope climbing.

Friendly staff and nice atmosphere
