hi

hoping to go to the south lakes this weekend and do a multi pitch. will be the second multi pitch ive done and i want it to be a good one as only got one day out! anything up to grade HVS 4C would be awesome. ideally wanting something with a slightly shorter walk in compared to other locations in the lakes. any ideas?!

cheers!

In reply to jodes89: Raven crag in Langdale would be a good choice. 10 mins walk from the road, wide selection of grades, good protection on many of the routes.
Start off with 'Original route (S) and take it from there. Be careful to locate the correct way back down, not easy on first visit.

In reply to jodes89:

White Ghyll is an ideal venue - maybe about 30 minutes from NDG car park so not too much of a walk by Lakes standards

Loads of classics in the grades you are looking for

I'd recommend Slip Knot, White Ghyll Wall and Gordian Knot -- I've done all 3 many moons ago -- when they were all graded mild VS, but all 3 are good VS nowadays, with Gordian Knot being the hardest of them.
Slip Knot was my first multipitch VS lead -- bombproof runners and belays.
