/ Going from bouldering to top.
I got awesome walls stoke normally so doing top-rope isn't an option where I go.
Fill out a profile with some details and put request in Lifts & Partners for someone to show you the ropes (apologies for lame wordplay). Or join local club & attend climbing meets to learn/find partners. Or hire instructor to teach you for day or two. Or book course at centre (eg PYB National Mountain Centre for Introduction to Leading type course. Or plough blindly on & learn/die quickly!!!! Nik
If you are in the Stoke area then look up Stafford Mountain Club. A great club with loads of patient and experienced folk to help you out.
I started out mainly bouldering and now I love learning new ropework / anchor techniques. It's a very interesting part of climbing for me.
Go on facebook and look at kilnworxs, they are in burslem and have a belay buddies section, also try either stafford mountaineers via paul hy on here or congleton mountaineers but they only climb in summer the rest of the time they are indoors at either stockport or warrington awesome walls
Just find a local wall that does an induction, 2/3hours and they'll have you belaying and tie-in no problem indoors.
When you've mastered that then think about leading :)
