 Topic - Cutting toe nails

How should i be cutting my toe nails? I find that often, even after spending just an hour and a half whereing climbing shoes, that the feeling of my toe nails digging in to the sides of by big toe painful. (Its the big toe's nails digging into the thin skin at the edge of the big toe, the rest of the toes are fine).
its not like i wear a super asymetric climbing shoe, or one thats too tight.
