I'm looking to buy my first pair of rock shoes soon, and was wondering if it's worth buying in the US or in the UK. I'm in San Francisco on business this weekend and would like to take advantage of the exchange rate if poss. Are the prices there any cheaper?
In my experience some things are cheaper and some aren't. However - where you will make out is the low value of the dollar. Look at the UK prices for a few things (check online) then you'll have some idea if it's a bargain or not.
In reply to johntz: only on some shoes like mad rocks and montails, pretty much half the price they are over here, there's a massive rei shop in south of mission and there's also mission cliffs.
Forgot to add - stock up on all the Aliens you can carry!
Also the new BD Camalots are available over there. I believe they won't be here until the spring.
Thanks to you both, I'll check the prices on the net before I commit to buying anything. Since my feet are wide-ish I imagine the Montails might do the job.
