Soft Shell Jacket Repair

Hi,

I put a small tear in my softshell while climbing, its about 10cm long, whats the best method to repair it.
Is Duct tape any good.?

Sew it up. Lasts longer than perpetually-unsticking gaffa tape, and for a softshell you shouldn't need to worry about the repair being 100% waterproof anyway.
