Does anyone know where you can start to do a rock climbing instructor course. If so how many stages are there and what levels of climbing are required. also if approximate costs are known.

To start with, SPA training-Bout £100 training then same again for assessment.Need 40 severe leads

Guess next step up is MIA-need summer ML for that, at least 40 mountain walks, about £250 training, same again assesment to do ML.No Idea how much MIA is, I presume lots and you need to have done somet like 50 VS 4C multipitch.

Sorry, also PYB is suppose to be good for courses (www.pyb.co.uk) if slightly expensive.I gave up on the idea when it seemed a long expensive road to lead ramblers and top rope stuff 6 days a week for not a great deal of money or job security....
