Can someone tell me the best way to drive from San Francisco to Bishop in November? I´ve been hearing about different passes being closed in then winter.

Interstate 80 to Reno. 395 South to Bishop.

You could also take the 50 (from Sacramento) to South Lake Tahoe and pick up 395 there. You could stop at Lover's Leap if this pass is open.

You could be lucky though and Tioga Pass will be open and hence a stopover in Yosemite.

Fast answers!

How many hours does will it take? What are the chances/risks for snowstorms?

8 - 10 hrs.

Varys from year to year. Some years first big snow hits in September, the next it may be January. More common is November.

Fire away Nik.

And if you haven't already there's a load of free MiniGUIDES at rockfax.com...Staying in Bishop is useful, Hot Springs is essential and then there are some bouldering ones.
