I've just pulled about 40 socks out of the washing machine and I swear I can only make about 3 pairs!! Where the hell do they go to? Some mystical place!!

Washing machines are portals to alien spacecraft, hence why you sometimes get loads of little white in. A tissue left in a pocket? No. It's really alien dandruff. And they like socks, so they steal them.

In reply to pookie: My dog steals any sock left in reach, but only if it has been worn. Clean socks are safe. A quick search under her bedding will usually yield a few.
