Ape index (again?)

Morning collective climbing brain. I've heard of the ape index, but I didn't know one had a number! How do I work out just how much of an ape I am? Does body hair come into it? Ear size? Abililty to gurn? Enlighten me! please. ta.

stand up straight next to a wall, mark your height!

measure your arm span from floor to that mark!

if your an average male your arm span will be identical to your height mark.

every inch passed the mark you can reach is a +1 and visa versa if you can't reach the mark. So for example im -1 as my arms are 1 inch short of the mark!

+8 is a huge A.I. surprised his knuckels don't drag along the floor

not sure what a womans average A.I. is! think its -2 but not sure without looking it up!

Was bored the other day & I worked mine out.
Came out almost spot on same distances, maybe -1 inch at most.

Might to be particuarly accurate as I didn't actually have anything to measure with and ended up stretched out on the floor with a small box marking the distance from a wall.
