Off to Norway for ski touring and will be spending about 4 days in Lofoten and 4 days in Lyngen. I would be interested to know if anyone has any multi day trips for either of these areas, if so I would like to hear about them.
I would also like to know some specific questions like:
1. Should we be carrying glacier travel stuff in Lyngen, or are the glaciers avoidable?
2. Any suggestions for routes in Lyngen appreciated - I am assuming we need to be taking tents to make the most of the place, or have I missed some huts or other alternatives?
3. In Lofoten, is it possible to get from Eide on to the DNT gut at Trollfjord?
4. Are the 1:50,000 maps and screw thread gas canisters generally available?
Any ideas would be very happily received.
