ON 15th APRIL 2006 A TEAM OF CLIMBERS WILL ATTEMPT TO CLIMB THE EQUIVALENT HEIGHT OF EVEREST IN A SINGLE DAY – 8,850 METERS.
The climb in being completed in memory of Paul Fergus who was tragically killed in a climbing accident at Christmas whilst on Ireland’s highest mountain.
Sponsorship money will be divided equally between the Ogwen Mountain Rescue Team and the Kerry Mountain Rescue Team. Both teams are made up of unpaid volunteers who receive no public funding, yet risk their lives to help those who enjoy the mountains.
