If the Skye Cullin are made of Gabbro, which affects compasses, and the Rum Cullin are also made of Gabbro, does that mean one should be cautious when using a compass on Rum, too? I've not seen this written anywhere, and you would think there would be warnings if it is an issue, but just wondered...

Yes, the main peaks of the Rum Cuillin are a layered sequence of gabbros and peridotite (even richer in magnetic minerals) and so your compass will be affected by this.
