If it's a question, I normally stay at the Castlerigg site up the hill just off the main road to Thirlmere. Reasonable facilities, pub close, town about 20 mins walk.

Hi,
is it me, but if your asking for help and advice you might be a little less brusque.
Castlerigg is good but verrrrry strict about lights out and noise, great for families but not so good if you want to sit chatting to the small hours.

there's been a few threads on this recently (including my one!) We ended up staying at the Grange one (Hollows Farm) which was very nice.
Slight adjustment, any campsite around keswick or Wasdale that has fire circles or allow campfires and is within walking distance 1/2 hour max to a pub. Will be going early july if that helps.
