God I'd love to commentate for this game...

I have to say the Germans are looking rather impressive, although a couple of those chances in the first half should have been tucked away. The signs are ominous if we should end up playing them. Ballack is a mard arse however, quite fitting that he's signed for Chelsea!

I do love the way everyone becomes a mathmatician to estimate who england will meet in the final after the first game, you know it ends with a penalty, usually a bad one

Felt sorry for the Polish keeper, he had a good game. But as the old cliche goes 'never write off the Germans'. Though still think they'll come unstuck against a real attacking side.

Slightly off topic....managed to catch Spanish game on highlights and have to say they looked GOOD! Had read they flatter to decieve(?) Have an interest as I drew them in sweep and stuck a few Euros on!
Sons are talking about Germany poss meeting Engerland in next round, if X happens??

In reply to Padraig: They looked very sweet. Tempted to have a bet on them myself. About time they did something in a major tournament - usually they lose or draw their first game against some unfancied opposition then go out heroically (trying desperately to score the goal that will save them) or heartbreakingly (on penalties), leaving a trail of distraught beret-wearing Spaniards in tears and a Spanish press lying in wait at the airport to stick daggers between the manager's shoulder blades as if he was a bull in the corrida.
