Get some washing machine drainage pipe, it's grey corrugated or ribbed if you like. £2.60 for 1.5m from Wilkos. £4.50 for 2.5m from Homebase. Cut off the ends. Cut to length of ice screw, slide over ice screw. Fits snug over Black Diamond and Grivel screws. If the screws are wider in diameter put a slit along the length and the pipe will open out.
Also usefull for covering ice axe tips and ice hooks, owt with a point on it.
