I'm reading Chris Bonington's book about the 1970 Annapurna expedition at the moment, and there's a wee bit about Don Whillan's encounter with a yeti, with a photo of Yeti tracks. I think I recall reading somewhere that this was Whillan's winding Bonington up - can anyone shed any light on this?
(Incidentally, the book was bought in the Oxfam bookshop in Otley on Saturday - someone's obviously given away their collection, and there's a good selection of 70s climbing/mountaineering books available).
