Where does all the rubber go?

You know from worn EB's, rock shoes, tyres, pencil erasers if a magic fairy did'nt steal it then there would surely be a thick carpet of rubber droppings floating on the sea .. so where does it go?

To dust. Like all the bits that drop off our bodies, crumbs, bits of mud etc.
