The winner of the Boardman Tasker Prize 2006 Charles Lind's An Afterclap of Fate: Mallory on Everest, was announced on Friday, 17 November at the Kendal Mountain Book Festival by Ronald Faux, Chairman of the judges.

Must give it a read, sounds interesting. First I have to read Alastair Humphreys book (he appeared at the festival talking about his 4 year + bike ride around the world), which if is as good as his talk will be superb.

Or even in 1924!
