In reply to Ferrito:

Nope

It was first done in something like 1890 and I doubt they even had any nuts back then and hemp ropes.

If you've bouldered V2 I doubt you're gonna need any gear at all it's not exactly hard...

In reply to 2pints:

The question was Hope, not Nope

(I used to live beyond Hope, in Castleton)

In reply to Yrmenlaf:

To clarify, no you don't need any cams to climb hope.

A set and a bit of nuts and a few hexes wil be fine.

In reply to Yrmenlaf:

Where did you live in Castleton? Lots of people I know live in CAstleton.

In reply to Ferrito:

I have a dog called Hope.

You wont need cams on it providing you have a few hexes.

The climb "Lazarus" (almost directly above the end of Hope) is brilliant and it finishes the route off a treat.

Or you can carry on up 'Groove Above' ... traditionally graded Hard V Diff
