It is brilliant. Really really brilliant. If you're hiring ski-planes etc., i.e. no infrastructure where you are going at all, it is expensive and can be a lot of work, especially if you're new to this expeditioning, as we were.
There is stuff for everyone - much climbing and skiing at low (e.g. PD) grades. If you go to wet glacier areas/the ice cap, it is good to be comfortable on skis - not essential, but you need to like it. Different areas are very different too, so advice is only relevant to particular areas.
Re climbing, some areas of rock are much better than others, so research. Snow climbing conditions were reasonably rubbish for us, again research and always take it as it comes.
