Hi there, giong to Morocco to do some climbing and trekking and wonder whether we have to take a tent as we want to do some trekking in Jebel Toubkal area. Not just the summit but if there is possibility of refuge huts or lodges around. (Each kilogram less is GOOD!
Thanks!

going mid-Feb. Staying at the CAF refuge (Neltner?) which has dormitory spaces for 80 people. Not sure how busy it is generally or when you are thinking of going, but you should find info on the CAF website

In reply to steve barnbrook: There is a 8-12 days trek in Atlas Mountain area including Jebel Toubkal summit, but not sure about accommodation on it...We don't want to do JUST summit...

In reply to salamandra: Well the one we are doing is a summit of Toubkal, a summit of Ouanoukrim, and another trek up to a Tizi to have a look down to Lac D'Ifni (all weather-depending, obviously) & we'll be based at the refuge all 3 nights, plus a night in Aroumd either side

Am off there myself in 11 days! Woo hoo.

Am climbing up Toubkal for New Years. Not sure what we're doing about accomodation as am going with a group thing. I think it's all huts as we've not be told to bring tents with us! Can't wait!!!
