Dear All
I'm having to get a new liquid fuel stove and was going to get an XGK2 without another thought (NOT a dragon fly though - 2 of these have broke on me at inopertune times!) but the primus range caught my eye.
what do folk think about this gas / petrol combination thing that they have going on? Does it work well? Does is do each job half heartidle and neither as well as stoves that do just one thing? How does it deal with poor quality fuel and parafin and petrol?
any thoughts would be helpfull...

Mine sooted up ridiculously on reasonable quality petrol & then a part (flame spreader plate) broke off & got lost. Didnt try running it on gas, but i think we found the gas cartridges its suitable for (screw thread only, i *think*, to memory) werent the easiest to come by. On the other hand, friends of mine ran Himalaya multifuel stoves throughout an expedition without any problems.
