Topic - Fake memory cards on ebay

While I knew there were a lot of fake memory cards on ebay from dodgy foreign sellers, I recently bought a card from a UK seller with very good feedback rating who sells lots of camera/phone items through his shop.
The card arrived in genuine-looking packaging, with all the labels, discs, manuals, etc. that you'd expect. Except the card only ran at "normal" speed instead of the high speed transfers it was rated for. After ringing Sandisk tech support they confirmed that the serial number on the card was fake.
Fortunately I managed to get a full refund without any problems, but from now on I'm only buying memory cards from shops listed on the manufacturers site as licensed partners. Sometimes a good deal really is too good to be true... :(
