can you use klemheist knot for ascending a rope

Hia, could someone confirm for me wether the klemheist knot tied into cord rather then tape will be sufficient for ascending a rope in a prusiking style.

I find this knot eassier to tie then the regular prussik, and have seen refferences of it being used with tape slings when no prussik cords are available.

In reply to erika: Yes, of course. It is pretty much the standard 'prussik' not for ascending.

the klemhiest is all i use for acsending as it can be used with a sling and it releases easily after being weighted
