I'll be checking this place out (as you can see its a nice spot).

I'll be haggling for a discount for weekly rates for climbers.

It is 25 miles north of Bishop. But there is very good boulderinng all around Tom's Place (tuff and granite).

It's at about 7,000ft...a little chilly at nights from October onwards. Good skiing (cross-country and downhill) right on its doorstep and excellent fishing (browns and rainbows)

There's a great bar and retaurant. It is rustic.

I'll also be checking out another place (cabins again) at a lower elevation at Paradise (near the Owens River Gorge exit off Hwy.395). About 10 miles from Bishop.

I'll keep you posted.

email for specific questions.

In reply to Mick - Rockfax USA: Have you thought of doing a line in hiring out bouldering mats? Just a thought.

In reply to Chris Fryer:

Yes ....but Wilsons Eastside Sports rent them out so climbers usually get them from there.
