On Friday Jack Geldard added an impressive route with his completion of the long standing project in Cwm Idwal, now named Spinal Crack at E8/9 6c. Great line and fine effort on a LGP. It would be interesting to know what French grade Jack thinks it is and whether all the gear was placed on lead (and what it was).

In reply to Tom, UKC News Editor: F7c+ according to Pete Robins. Jack described it as a scary, but steady E5/6 start, then a 7a+/7b boulder problem, then an E5 to finish.
