Date: Sat June 16th 2007 10am – 4.00pm @ the Roaches
The BMC and the Peak District National Park Authority have arranged a number of events throughout the day including guided walks and a group-use seminar at the crag face (see event list below) The day is planned to demonstrate the opportunities for outdoor recreation in the area and to highlight the commitment needed to protect the sensitive environment in which activities such as climbing take place. The day is designed to promote the long-term sustainable use and care of the Roaches area. Everyone welcome!

Events:
Whillans Hut open day & Information Centre. All day
Alternative Climbing Routes at the Roaches: a Guide to those hidden gems by Andi Turner. All day
2 Guided walks exploring the landscape and wildlife characteristics of the Roaches. 11am & 2pm
Kids bouldering sessions. 10am, 12 midday, 2pm
Mountain Rescue Team Demonstration. 2pm
Group Use Discussion. Open Forum (All day)
