Hi,

What do you think about rope Beal Ice Twin Golden Dry – 7.7mm, for Alps climbing? Is it not too thick?

In reply to mmikita: Good for ice routes and Glacier. Rock routes i would be a bit more careful. They will not last long and i wouldn't plan on falling on them often. Save them for when weight really does mattter.

This is from an 8.1mm (iceline) point of few, your case would be a bit more extreme.
