just to keep things in perspective, this headline implies I kicked the arse of the wads, but in fact in this instance the wads simply wern't that psyched, but as usual I was. Had they been, the likes of Sharma and Graham would have cleaned up.

In reply to ste mac: Glad too here your going well Steve. Keep it up!

Personal question Glyn and the answer, I'm guessing, is not for a public forum ; 0 )

Suffice to say, Steve outshone on the day as Al's headline makes clear, and amongst wads, he was king on that day, despite his modesty.

In reply to Mick Ryan - UKClimbing.com:

I'm guessing here, but I imagine that Sharma, and maybe Dave Graham, get a bit fed up of the "performing monkey" routine - ie their sponsors oblige them to turn up to an event when they have their own projects elsewhere, the crowds ask for autographs then want to be entertained by awesome climbing feats... A report on 8a.nu suggests they got drunk instead and did a 7c.

Self deprecation is an easy thing to do, we all are prone to it. Steve is an excellent climber and I've posted my feelings about this. Stunning couple of months for him. Again Steve, well done mate.
