Any views on direction krabs on quickdraws should face? Gates in same direction or opposite?

It's how you clip in that's important. Here's a couple of sites that show right and wrong ways to clip in. Avoid 'back clipping' at all costs!!!!!! :X

Otherwise find your nearest Petzl stockist and pick up a Petzl catologue. It has loads of advice and techniques in the back!

In reply to Grumps: Speaking as a relative novice, I find that the quickdraws dont always hang neatly as the text books show, so I change them to suit! (I am assuming you're not hanging by your fingernails whilst standing on a 1/4 inch ledge at the time)
