Completely ruptured my Achilles Tendon as a result of a small awkward fall @ Trowbarrow quarry in February 2007. Had it surgically repaired immediately. Initial advice of my surgeon was not to restart climbing for at least 6 months, after Physio and exercises. Another surgeon has just told me not to climb for at least 1 year!! Has anybody been through the same experience and when did you start climbing? Many Thanks.

In reply to markpeacock:
Common in injury in badminton, which I play alot, of the 4 people I know who`ve done it, they were playing after 6 months and badminton is harder on the feet than climbing. Suspect you`ll be able to climb much sooner - as long as you dont fall off and land on you feet !
