In reply to climber1993: Pretty much zero and I'm 6 foot. I suspect it would mean you are able to reach further for holds? Useful sometimes.

I find I can reach considerably more holds than the average person of my height, but being weak and fat I cannot always pull on them.

Sorry - wasn't being sarky. It's Friday, been a long week and I've had a couple of beers (it's only 5:45 here; Alberta). The mountains look absolutely gorgeous right now as the sun sets.

It is a huge advantage.Think of power to weight then leverage.
J.D.1st has a huge ape index.Not uncommon for climbers of the time to be almost 1 foot over.Someone tell me that doesn't help.
