When we were up in Hathersage on the 15/16th I was suprised to see NevisSport shut-up, and a sign on the door saying it was being turned into a bar...

Hardly surprising that the market is showing such poor returns when you look at these two shops in hathersage. only room for one shop in the area imho.

In reply to Mick Ryan - UKClimbing.com:

Sounds good - keep the current one as the climbing/mountaineering store, and use the new for more lifestyle clothing and family camping etc. Cotswolds manage it in Betws, so if Outside can do the same it will be great.

Wonder what it means for the Outside at Calver ?

So, now with two sites, you'd think they could manage a decent cafe between them?

Have I mentioned anything about ice cream vans recently ?

In reply to Simon Lee:
Is the CCC shop still there (opposite Outside) ?

So there were 3 ice-cream vans, but one only sold cheap vanilla cornets with no flakes

So the popular rumour on the street goes. I was expecting to see a "News: Mick Leaves UKC thread" but it hasn't materialised.
