NEWS: Outside take over Nevisport Hathersage

With all the current uncertainty surrounding the Sports Direct acquisition of Nevisport last Thursday which we reported on yesterday, at least one Nevisport shop wasn't included in the deal.

When we were up in Hathersage on the 15/16th I was suprised to see NevisSport shut-up, and a sign on the door saying it was being turned into a bar...

Hardly surprising that the market is showing such poor returns when you look at these two shops in hathersage. only room for one shop in the area imho.

Sounds good - keep the current one as the climbing/mountaineering store, and use the new for more lifestyle clothing and family camping etc. Cotswolds manage it in Betws, so if Outside can do the same it will be great.

So there were 3 ice-cream vans, but one only sold cheap vanilla cornets with no flakes

So the popular rumour on the street goes. I was expecting to see a "News: Mick Leaves UKC thread" but it hasn't materialised.
