In reply to panad: I will give you my one experience of using a Reactor in a snowhole up in Scotalnd on the 8th January 2008 using a go-gas cyclinder. Frankly it was appauling! Overnight temperature was minus 8. Now whether this was down to a poor cylinder or me not insulating the cylinder from the snow I don't know. What I do know is that next time it's back to my Whisperlite. I rang First Acscent and they said they had never heard of such poor performance. Of course back at home it worked perfectly and is a fantastic piece of kit for I would say +8 degrees centrigrade. Any lower and it just won't glow red. Perhaps I've just been unlucky but so far I wouldn't recoomend it for winter use.
