AWESOME WALLS STOCKPORT UPDATE
Just a few snippets of information about what’s happening at Awesome Walls, Stockport.
The entrance to The Engine House now has a new porch fitted so no more cold drafts whistling through!
The whole of the bouldering area was reset with 60 new colour coded problems last week (18/01/08) and this week 40 new routes in the lead area have been set by Jamie Cassidy and Jason Pickles.
We now hold stock of the new Yorkshire Gritstone Bouldering guide by Steve Dunning and Ryan Plews.
The new rubber crumb flooring will to delivered and installed week commencing 4th February and the wooden floor in the bouldering area will be carpeted the following week.
In March we are hosting two major competitions the first is the the BMC Youth Climbing Series on Saturday 15th March and the second is the first ever BMC Leading Ladder grand final on Saturday 29th March. The centre will be closed for public use on both these days but spectators are more than welcome.
