Against my better judgement I subscribed online for 4 copies of Alpinist a few days ago - no shop in this part of the world stocks climbing magazines. My main reason was to secure edition 23 which had a bunch of stuff that interested me. The subscription page launched direct from the edition 23 icon on the website. Despite this, I now find the subscription won't start until edition 24. Emails to try to gain an explanation result in baldly unhelpful replies ending "If we may be of any assistance in the future please feel free to contact us." Cheers.
A quick search of this site suggests Alpinist were wearing people's patience two years ago ...
