JUNE .... i think Dom?

the opening sentence says so ? unless I'm mistaken ...
Simon Panton 02 May 2008
In reply to Ian McNeill: Not mistaken Ian, not at all. June it is.
 Dom Whillans 04 May 2008
In reply to Simon Panton: ah, but there's 30 days in june and i only get SO much time off work to climb!
 GrahamD 06 May 2008
In reply to Simon Panton:

Good effort in pulling together an overdue rework of Gogarth.

I'm curious as to why it needs two guidebooks now ? has there been that much more development since the CC guide was published ?
Simon Panton 06 May 2008
In reply to GrahamD: Over 300 new routes since the 1990 CC guide. If we'd put it all in one guide it would have probably topped 600 pages. There is quite a natural split too - it just seemed the obvious thing to do.

In reply to Simon Panton:
Hi Simon
We are slowly developing another new limestone crag on Anglesey, 3 routes done + another 4 to be led tonight...
Are we going to be too late for this edition?

Looks great - can't wait.
Simon Panton 06 May 2008
In reply to Sl@te Head: Don't worry Ian, we'll be able to get them in. I'll call you later in the week.
 GrahamD 06 May 2008
In reply to Simon Panton:

Thanks Simon,

Anything new (and worthwhile) out of those 300 routes in my range ?
Simon Panton 06 May 2008
In reply to GrahamD: I'd say so, they're not all George Smith E7s!

In reply to Simon Panton:

is there much published on the range? i've climbed a few lines that are probably FA's and was wondering if it could get a mention

In reply to centurion05: That section of the coast will be covered by the Gogarth South book. If you have any information regarding potential first ascents then please send it to me. I'll need approach and route descriptions (including pitch lengths), plus names, dates and who the climbers were. If you have any photos of the routes, that would be helpful too. I'll be working on this book later in the year.

The Gogarth wiki has some information on The Range:

In reply to centurion05: I got your email via UKC, but if you want to contact me again just use the contact address on the Ground Up website, i.e. info@groundupclimbing.com.

Cheers,

Simon
