The brief is to design four banner adverts for climbing products from La Sportiva, Beal and Petzl using images from their websites and you can incorporate some of your own images.

Full details of this competition here: http://www.ukclimbing.com/articles/page.php?id=899

Alan Tait

I'm a Mechanical Engineer working in the oil and gas industry, IT guru, dedicated in all aspects of climbing trad/ice/bouldering for the last four years now and an amateur photographer. Enough spare time to work on a few of these projects on the side though I wasn't quite sure of the brief as far as whether you wanted strap lines and product information in the adverts or more just graphical design.

You can see Alan Tait's work here: http://www.ukclimbing.com/articles/page.php?id=953

Constructive criticism and praise is welcomed.

In reply to Mick Ryan - UKClimbing.com: yeah, some lucky ones get to holiday at bishop when the rest of us are working. Not jealous at all though (much)

 AGT 13 May 2008
In reply to Stuart S: well it's not like you had better things to do (ouch) kidding. Injury sounded nasty, hope the knee repairs go well - any news on when you will get the MRI and specialist to look at it?
 AGT 13 May 2008
In reply to lyons: had to air brush it out or nobody would be looking at the shoes

don't put words into my mouth, or ideas in alan's head...

I will try to drag a few punters (ellis and phil) up north at weekend again, if you are free.

Amanda had a play on that with Sarah Schneider and one of her friends (Polly?) - Sarah says hi, btw. The three of them had been working on Cave Problem and were after a change of style...

Got an appointment with an orthopaedic surgeon on Friday, so will hopefully know more after that. Just hobbling about in the meantime...

What goes on in Alan's or any mans head is a mystery to all females and should be left that way. Nice pics btw Alan

 AGT 13 May 2008
In reply to Stuart S: some progress then, hope it's good news and something they can sort out quickly. You need to get back out to push Amanda harder so she doesn't take it out on the rest of us :-D
