Myself and 6 other guys are looking for a campsite near keswick.
Barbecue and a few bears type of thing. Were all in our late thirties early forties so not to rowdy.
But we have a feeling camsite owners may barr groups of lads.
Can you advise is this the caes
or recommend a camsite that allows groups of lads.

I suppose the problem is if they do allow groups of lads then we may get bothered by err groups of lads!

the one at stonethwaite should fit the bill, just beyond the langstrath hotel

In reply to mike123: Doh...Doh think I should stick to Cider, spelling is more obvious.
Or we could have a themed night

In reply to mikehike: Best in my opinion is Castlerigg Farm - superb. Quiet, gorgeous views, nice facilities, and a 10 mins down-hill walk to the town (pubs) and drunken stagger back up.

Stayed at Seatoller Farm campsite about 15 mins drive up Borrowdale from Keswick Bank Holiday weekend. They CERTAINLY didn't have any problems with groups of lads drinking and having a BBQ

In reply to mikehike:

I use Castlerigg Hall. There's a small pub next door and you can walk into Keswick if you feel the need.

Can be pricey mind as there's loads of facilities like a kitchen and a games room, shop, showers etc...

In reply to mikehike: Another Question

The National Trust Campsite at Langdale.
Do they allow groups of lads?
OP mikehike 11 Jun 2008
In reply to mikehike: Ah I see by its website it limits to groups of 4.
